The Boca Raton area on the Atlantic coast of Florida enjoys sunshine and warm weather most of the year, making it a perfect beach vacation destination. Whether you like to swim, snorkel, surf, or fish, there is a beach waiting for you in Boca Raton.
Start or end your day with a leisurely walk on the beach or pack a lunch and spend the whole day. Catch some waves at South Beach, explore the underwater scenery while snorkeling at Red Reef Park, or visit the Gumbo Limbo Nature Center, where you can learn about the plants and animals of the area.

Spanish River Park 1.0 mi

Spanish River Park takes its name from the shallow fresh water stream, which once flowed along what is now the western edge of the park. Since work by the core of engineers, the river has become known to boaters as part of the intercoastal waterway. The Park opens no later than 8:00 A.M. and closes at sundown, seven days per week. The picnic area of the park is equipped with grills, tables and restrooms. Facilities are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Red Reef Park 2.8 mi

Red Reef Park is a 39-acre park with a mile of beachfront and the 15-acre Gumbo Limbo Nature Center. Activities at Red Reef Park include swimming, sunbathing, surf casting and strolling on the boardwalk over the dunes. A designated surfing area is on south end. There is a man-made reef about 10 feet off shore, great for snorkelers of all skill levels. Facilities include restrooms, showers, playground, picnic pavilions and grills. Lifeguards are on duty from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
South Beach Park 3.4 mi

South Beach Park is a 24-acre park with a half mile of beachfront. The beach is good for swimming, snorkeling, sunbathing, or walking on the beach. Surfing is allowed on the south end, and fishing is allowed outside the swimming area. Facilities include restrooms, showers and a walkway. Lifeguards are on duty from 9am - 5pm, with extended hours in the summer.
South Inlet Park Beach 5.0 mi

This county park on the Boca Raton inlet features activities such as fishing and sightseeing at the pier, sailboarding, windsurfing, jet skiing, canoeing or kayaking. Facilities include restrooms, showers, volleyball areas, nature area, playground, and picnic areas with grills. A large picnic pavilion is available by reservation by groups (561-966-6611). Lifeguards are on duty from 9am - 5pm.
Delray Municipal Beach 6.0 mi

A 7,000-foot beach featuring swimming, surfing, volleyball, sailing, windsurfing and snorkeling, plus two recreational areas for kite flying, Frisbees, paddleball, and more. Facilities include restrooms, showers, picnic tables, grills and a pavilion with an ocean view. A surf chair is available for disabled beachgoers. Cabana and umbrella rentals available, as well as sailboats, sailboards and kayaks. Lifeguards are on duty from 9am - 5pm.
